Healthcare has become really complicated these days. Many don’t have adequate insurance or insurance at all. If you feel healthcare is too big for you to make a difference, you are not alone! I want to challenge that mindset. I want to encourage people to realize there are things YOU can do to help.

Cornerstone Nonprofit Healthcare is a nonprofit corporation of motivated individuals, we are community members only; we are not acting on behalf of a large business. Our purpose is to bring people together to improve healthcare as a community both locally and throughout the US.

We have developed a NEW low overhead model of healthcare. Aspects of our model have been utilized successfully separately and now we want to combine them to reach people in a nontraditional way.

AJMC’s “Mobile Health Clinics in the Era of Reform” shows the importance of mobile healthcare at increasing access to healthcare in vulnerable populations. Full Article Here.

Mobile Health Clinic Association states RV mobile medical units “cost more than $500,000 the first year (including the vehicle) and more than $250,000 each year after.” Featured Article Here.  Our Tiny House Medical Clinic costs $40,000 to build, a fraction of the cost of current mobile clinics. This type of clinic will provide a friendlier, ‘homey’ environment, decreasing the stress of seeing a medical professional. Our clinic will also reach out to community locations to do chronic disease screening at a minimal cost to residents. This will diagnose silent conditions that later cause residents to use the ER and hospitals; which will decrease the financial burden on taxpayers.

We are striving to overcome transportation, language, and mental health barriers. So how can YOU help? First, SHARE our vision. We will gather data on how best another motivated community can recreate this low overhead model taking healthcare into your community’s hands. We are calling people to act to help us build our first Tiny House.
