Vacationing Alone

Japan, China, Greece, Turkey, Canada, New Zealand, Germany and many other countries are beautiful and wonderful to enjoy. Taking a vacation to any of these beautiful locations would be on anyones bucket list. I’ve always wanted to go to Japan but when you imagine going on vacation you never want to go alone. You want to take your spouse, friends or relatives. You may even plan a trip with friends or coworkers. Vacationing alone is an idea that cannot be considered by a lot of people.

To choose to go to Japan by yourself seems scary and pointless. Why would someone want to make memories by themselves? After spending some time on this matter it seems that vacationing alone may not be so awkward.

Vacationing to wherever you wanted to go means that you don’t have to discuss what you’re doing that day with anyone. You don’t have to ask your partner or friend what they want to eat. you get to eat whenever and whatever you want.

Every decision is made based on your schedule. You get to do what you want to do. This is great! How come this idea has never been put on the table in conversations at work or amongst family?

A vacation to Japan, alone seems amazing. After further thought I then realized that, I don’t know if I would travel that far away alone. I mean, have you ever seen the movie Taken with Liam Neeson? Not that Daddy God isn’t protecting me wherever I go but for my own piece of mind I rather go with someone.

There are some pros and cons to vacationing alone. The best pro of all is that you can do whatever you want, whenever you want but then you only can share those moments with yourself.

I can see myself doing a day trip or maybe even a weekend to somewhere in the United States but to go to Australia or Greece alone is an expensive trip that I want to share with someone.

There’s something about making memories with someone and enjoying that time you spent together. I do believe there are moments when you need to take a day off and have an adventure!
