You keep getting hurt and I want to help. I really think you need to read this:
I love the fact that you have a big heart. It’s refreshing.
Living in a world constantly bullying you to be petty or be savage – you deliberately decide to ride against the wave. You love without limits. You love without conditions. And that’s admirable.
The world needs more of your kind. It really does.
And then you possess this weird, super power where you forgive effortlessly. I don’t know how you do it. No matter what happened in your past, you decide to give love another chance. You remain positive through it all and stay hopeful that some way, somehow things will get better. That’s a characteristic of a beautiful soul.
But there’s something I need you to understand:
Not everyone has your best interest at heart.
I know, this sucks. But I want to stop you from passing your heart out so rawly. Not everyone’s fingerprints deserve a mark on your heart and you need to know that.
Proverbs 4:23 warns you: “Above all else guard your heart, for everything you do flows from it.”
Disconnect. Switch your number. Delete. Change your circle. You’re allowed to do these things. You have permission, I promise. You’re not obligated to keep negativity around. You don’t have to keep suffering. You don’t have to keep crying.
And I get it. You love them. You see their potential. But if they love you as much as they say they do- they would change. They would seek help. They would do whatever they can to protect your heart and treasure it as a valued possession.
Mark 12:31 calls you to “Love your neighbor as yourself”. Not more than. And definitely not less than. If you love them enough to stay – love yourself just as much and walk away.
It’s okay to bloom somewhere else.
I’m praying for you.
