Imagine Rudeness In 2022

Ever had someone cut you off while driving or curse at you for no reason at all? Possibly, someone had said something about you behind your back or a customer was unhappy with something that was out of your control and belittled you. I have, and I was so angry but I couldn’t do anything about it because it was out of my personality to do so. Imagine that rudeness still exists in 2022?

Sometimes I wish I could do something and I wonder how people who do fight back get the courage to do so! In time I have learned that what I was doing was actually the best way to get someone back. It is written:

Romans 12:19-21

17-19 Don’t hit back; discover beauty in everyone. If you’ve got it in you, get along with everybody. Don’t insist on getting even; that’s not for you to do. “I’ll do the judging,” says God. “I’ll take care of it.”

20-21 Our Scriptures tell us that if you see your enemy hungry, go buy that person lunch, or if he’s thirsty, get him a drink. Your generosity will surprise him with goodness. Don’t let evil get the best of you; get the best of evil by doing good.

With that being said, God will take care of any situation we go through. When someone belittles you just take a deep breath and walk away and relax. If you need to talk to the person who ticked you off, make sure you are relaxed and can talk in a calm voice. If you don’t need to speak with that person just walk away and let Got take care of it. How do you do that?

Pray to Him. Tell God, “I am so angry right now.” He will love that and it is way better than going back to that person and lashing out. You will regret it. What’s worse is some people justify their proposed actions of revenge.

“They deserved that punch to the face. I don’t let anyone talk to me that way!” That comment is actually the wrong way to think about or to handle things. When you walk away you give God the opportunity to handle that person and to console you. Maybe you’ll even think to buy that person flowers or write them a card.
